I started in the Asheville drywall trade in the early 70’s here. I can still recall my first job in June of 1971 at Bingham Heights Apartments on the west bank of the French Broad River just 2/10th of a mile north of downtown.
In 1989 and 1990, I decided to pursue some additional education opportunities at Richmond Technical Institute in Hamlett, NC. During that time, I continued to actively practice the drywall installation and repair trade on nights and weekends. I have never been out of practice since 1971.
